Resetting your password
Forgotten your password? You can set a new one yourself in a couple of minutes — you don't need to contact anyone.
Request a reset link
- On the Sign in page, click Forgot password?
- Enter the email address on your account and submit.
- We'll show a message saying that if that address has an account, a reset link is on its way. (We word it that way on purpose, so the form can't be used to find out who has an account.)
- Open your inbox — and check spam if nothing appears — and click the link in the email.
Choose a new password
- The link opens a page where you enter your new password twice to confirm it.
- Pick a strong password you don't use anywhere else.
- Submit, then sign in with the new password.
Good to know
- Links don't last forever. If you see a message that the reset link is no longer valid, just request a fresh one from Forgot password? and use the newest email.
- Every other session is signed out. Resetting your password logs your account out on all other devices. That's deliberate: if someone else had got in, this locks them straight back out.
- Didn't ask for a reset? If a reset email arrives and you didn't request it, you can safely ignore it — nothing changes until someone clicks the link and sets a new password.
If you're sure of your email but the reset email never arrives after a few tries, contact the auction house using the details in the site footer.
