Confirming your email
Right after you create your account, we email you a confirmation link. Clicking it proves the address is really yours. You can't place a bid until your email is confirmed, so this is worth doing straight away.
How to confirm
- Open your inbox and look for a message from us with a confirmation link.
- Click the link. It takes you back to the site and marks your email confirmed.
- You'll see a short "Email confirmed" note, and you're ready to move on to bidding (or to adding a card, if a sale requires one).
Nothing arrived?
The "Check your inbox" screen has everything you need:
- Check your spam or junk folder first. Confirmation emails sometimes land there.
- Send it again. Press Send it again to have a fresh link emailed. There's a short cooldown between sends, so give it a moment.
- Wrong address? If you mistyped your email, use Wrong address? Fix it to correct it on your profile, then send the link again.
Why we ask
Confirming your email means we can reach you the moment you're outbid, when you win, and when your invoice is ready — the messages that matter most during a sale. It also keeps someone else from signing up with your address.
If your email address ever stops working later on, you can still sign in and see your bids, wins and invoices while you sort it out — but you won't be able to place new bids until a working address is confirmed.
