Ways to pay
You can pay your invoice from the link in your invoice email, or by signing in and opening Invoices in your account. Both show the same bill and the same ways to pay.
Paying online with PayPal or card
When online payment is switched on for the sale, the invoice page shows a Pay now section:
- PayPal — pay with your PayPal wallet using PayPal's own buttons.
- Card — pay by card in fields that are hosted and processed by PayPal. You type your card number straight into PayPal's secure fields; it's never sent to, seen by, or stored by Auction Mule.
The amount is always the balance shown on the invoice — you never enter a price yourself. When the payment succeeds, you'll see a confirmation with a reference number worth keeping.
If the payment window doesn't load (a blocked connection, an ad blocker, or no signal), the page says so and points you to the payment details below it. Try reloading, or use those details.
Cash at pickup
If you're collecting your items in person, you can choose I'll pay cash at pickup instead of paying online. One thing to be clear about:
This isn't a payment. Nothing is charged, and the balance stays due until you actually pay it in person at collection.
Choosing it just lets the house know to expect you and holds the invoice open. This option only appears when you're collecting rather than having items shipped.
When online payment isn't available
Some sales aren't set up to take payment online. In that case there's no Pay button, and the page shows the auction house's payment instructions (how to send a bank transfer or cheque, for example) along with contact details. Follow those instructions and quote your invoice number on anything you send.
A note on safety
Auction Mule never shows or stores your full card number, and a genuine invoice page always names the sale, the house, and why you received the link. If a "payment" page ever asks you to type a card number into a plain form that doesn't name a payment processor, stop and contact the auction house directly.
